Redwood O-rama

For Fourth of July weekend, Toby had both the Friday before the Fourth and the Monday after the Fourth off from work. So, we decided to take a cruise up to Oregon to see Jess, Jared, Jo-Man and Ella Bella.

Since the Redwoods, are kind of on the way, we decided to take Highway 101 up the coast instead of I-5.

It was totally rad -- to say the least.

We may have had some driving mishaps...

We may have gone completely mad after our 16 hour excursion...

But we loved it.

Seriously.

Sadly, Annie (moi) failed to take any pictures whatsoever in Oregon. I really don't know what to think of myself.

Here is our trip in a nutshell.

Arrived 12:30 a.m. July 3rd.
Woke up and attended 4th of July Pancake Breakfast.
Picked raspberries at a local raspberry farm (patch??). This was heaven -- HEAVEN.
Purchased needed fireworks at firework stand.
Made homemade raspberry jam.
Purchased/played Ticket to Ride.
Hit up the park. Jonas and Ella got their "pumps on" -- swinging pumps that is.
Ate homemade Cafe Rio salads (woah, woah -- so GOOD).
Made Brownies.
Attended Church.
Had BBQ -- never had better pork chops.
Watched Jonas perfect his superman in the front yard.
Watched as Jared/neighborhood kids put on firework extravaganza.
Completed lunges at the park with Jess.
Bade farewell, July 5th at 10:30 a.m.

We love the Meyers. We had such a wonderful time and are so grateful we got to spend time with them.

The pull of that raspberry patch, along with the great company may cause us to move there. And if Toby was a little more passionate about environmental law, we probably would.

Love, love, love our Oregonian fam!!
