Quote of the Week

In light of General Conference a couple of weeks ago, Tobe and I have decided to read a conference talk together each week. This week we chose to read Elder Uchtdorf's talk, "The Infinite Power of Hope." We missed hearing Elder Uchtdorf give this talk because we lost radio contact on our way up to Park City, so we were especially exicted to read it.
I LOVED it.
I am excited to listen to it online so I can enjoy Elder Uchtdorf's rich German accent.
I especially like the part when he talked about the things which we hope in and the things which we hope for. Here is my favorite quote:
"The things we hope in sustain us during our daily walk. They uphold us through trials, temptations, and sorrow. Everyone has experienced discouragement and difficulty. Indeed, there are times when the darkness may seem unbearable. It is in these times that the divine principles of the restored gospel we hope in can uphold us and carry us until, once again, we walk in the light."
And its true. The things which we hope in -- the Savior, His atonement, eternal families, the scriptures -- are the things which give us true happiness, joy and hope.
I am so grateful for Elder Uchtdorf's talk and for the eternal principle of
HOPE.

Amen and Halleluia. I loved Elder Uchdorf's talk, too. I am grateful to have the constancy of the gospel in my life. We all need something to hope in at the moment.
