"I know the Easter Bunny."

On Saturday, Toby left the house saying that he had a couple of "errands" to run and that I couldn't come. About an hour later I received a phone call as I was busily typing away on a paper -- it was Toby...

"Annie, I'm just pulling up, close your eyes." click. No more Toby.

I close my eyes, the door opens, and I hear Toby running upstairs.

A couple of seconds later I hear Toby say, "Okay Annie you can open your eyes now!"

I open my eyes just as I hear the door shutting to our upstairs office. "Hmm..." I think to myself, "What could the little stinker be doing."

About twenty minutes later, I wander upstairs hearing noises similar to duct tape being strapped across plywood coming out of our little den. This was a real project.

After putting my hair in some braids, I walked back downstairs and resumed my typing position. Toby emerged from his den of activity minutes later, a smile broadly plastered across his face.

"Annie," he grinned, "I ran into the Easter Bunny while I was out and he said that he has already made your basket because you have been so good."

"Really!" I replied as I smiled in excitement.

He continued saying, "Ya know Annie, I didn't want to tell you this while we were dating, but, I know the Easter Bunny. I wanted to make sure you liked me for the right reasons."

My mouth formed into a broad smile and before I could retort Toby added, "And I was this close [he pinches his thumb and fore finger tightly together] to convincing him to giving you a new car."

"Wow, Tobe." I said in awe as he leaned back into couch, nodding his head with confidence.

He is so cool.

This morning I found out that Toby really does know the Easter Bunny....

I found this at the bottom of the stairs:

It's a no-sugar, all-fruit easter basket (Toby said he let the Easter Bunny know that I've been trying to "glow with health.")

However, little did Toby know that I too know the Easter Bunny...

(However, I didn't get close to getting Toby a car... he might have more connections with our fluffly friend...)
We hope everyone had a happy, happy Easter!!!

You two are sooooooo lucky to have a great Easter bunny! I was worried that he might not find you....this being your first year away from home and all.

Annie, you are the best storyteller. I wait in suspense to hear the next tale from the Tobler household. Love, Mom T.

Good job, Toblers! I guess Jared doesn't know the Easter Bunny. :( Bummer. Can you introduce him?
