Well lookie here...

This morning I made Toby and me some yummmmy lunches for school. Although you may not believe it, this doesn't occur just any ordinary day. Little Annie is generally about 15-20 minutes behind schedule. Forcing Toby to cuddle with me for the ten minutes after the alarm goes off, singing in my pajamas, showering, picking out an outfit that matches, generally takes a little more time than I plan to take for my morning routine. So this was a special, special morning.

Last night, I took a shower, braided my hair, and planned out what I was going to wear -- My hair would be squiggly and pretty, and getting dressed would be a snap! I had PLENTY of time to make some uber gourmet lunches.

I made Tobe a bagel sandwich, threw in some fruit leathers, a juicy orange, carrots, activa yogurt, and to top it off, some saltines (cuz saltines are da bomb dot com). I was so proud.

When we left for school I presented Toby with his beautiful lunch.
He gasped with excitement, "Is all this food for me?!"
I replied proudly, "Totally."

He looked at his lunch with a big smile and then I watched his brow scrunch in confusion. He looked at me and said, "Are these saltines."
I laughed and said, "Of course those are saltines. Everyone LOVES saltines."

We drove to school, and since my lunch making ended up taking some time (apparently my planning wasn't good enough) I had to drop Toby off right at the door so he wouldn't be late for class. He can't be late or the professors won't accept his work.

As I parked the car and started to gather my things, I noticed something hidden under my backpack and one of Toby's jackets.

"SALTINES!" I gasped.

There they were. Toby's beautifully baggied saltines. The poor little neglected dears.

I immediately called Toby wondering how he could've left perfectly good saltines in the car.

His reponse, "Oh Annie, I left those for you!"

What a nice boy.

That is so cute. I have to admit I am always about 5-10 min late too, and I totally braid my hair at night too. :-)
